Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
This policy explains what information Fortune Marketing Group collects when you use fortunemarketing.net, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website only.
Who we are
Fortune Marketing Group is a marketing agency for restaurants and food & beverage brands, based in San Diego, California. For any question about this policy or about your information, contact us at Garvin@fortunemarketing.net or +1 858-397-8934.
Information you give us
When you submit the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect the details you enter: your name, restaurant or company, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, your indicated budget, and your message.
When you apply for a job through our careers page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the position and location you are applying for, your experience, any portfolio or LinkedIn link you give, your message and, if you upload one, your CV.
You choose what to send. The enquiry form needs your name, email address and message for us to reply; everything else is optional. An application needs your name, email address, phone number, position, location and message; your CV and the other details are optional.
Information collected automatically
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and how quickly those pages load for them.
These two tools do not set cookies and do not build a profile of you. They record aggregated page views and performance measurements, not identifiable individuals.
We also use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, which work differently. They are described in the next section.
Meta Pixel and Conversions API
We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, tools provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure how well our Facebook and Instagram advertising works and to show our ads to people who may be interested in them.
The Meta Pixel is a script that runs in your browser. It sets Meta cookies on this site (_fbp, plus _fbc when you arrive from a Meta ad) and tells Meta when you view a page, open one of our case studies, tap our phone number or email address, send an enquiry, or submit a job application. With each of these it sends Meta the page address, your IP address and information about your browser and device.
The Conversions API sends the same events to Meta from our server, so they are counted even when the browser script is blocked. Both copies of an event carry the same event ID, so Meta counts it once. The server copy includes the page address, your IP address, your browser’s user agent and the Meta cookie values above.
When you send an enquiry or a job application, the server copy also includes your email address, phone number and first and last name, but only as SHA-256 hashes, created on our server before anything is sent. Apart from the position you applied for, we never send Meta what you write in a form: not your message, your CV, your budget or any other answer.
Meta may connect this information to a Facebook or Instagram account and uses it under its own Privacy Policy.
We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, the Meta Pixel does not load and our server sends nothing to Meta about your visit or your form submissions.
To opt out, you can:
- turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or use a browser or extension that sends it;
- block third-party scripts or clear cookies in your browser settings; or
- change how Meta uses this information for ads in your Meta ad preferences.
The site assistant
Some pages offer a chat assistant that answers general questions about our services. Messages you type into it are sent to Anthropic, which provides the underlying language model, so that a reply can be generated.
Please do not enter confidential or sensitive personal information into the assistant. If you want to discuss something confidential, email or call us instead and we will handle it properly.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us and the information collected automatically to:
- reply to your enquiry and arrange your consultation;
- prepare proposals, quotes and scopes of work;
- consider your job application and contact you about it;
- keep a record of our correspondence with you;
- measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram; and
- improve how this website performs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that make this site, our advertising and our correspondence work:
- Vercel hosts the website and provides the analytics described above.
- Google delivers enquiries and job applications to our team by email and records them in a Google Sheet. CVs are kept in a private Google Drive folder.
- Meta receives the Meta Pixel and Conversions API events described above.
- Anthropic processes messages sent to the site assistant.
Vercel, Google and Anthropic process data on our behalf. Meta also uses what it receives under its own policy, as described above. We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and application correspondence for as long as we may reasonably need it for the relationship it relates to, and for our own business records afterwards. If you ask us to delete your enquiry or application, we will, unless we are required to retain it.
Your choices and California privacy rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. California residents may also opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. We do not sell it. Our use of the Meta Pixel and Conversions API for advertising may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out of it with Global Privacy Control, which we honor automatically, or with the other choices listed above. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. Write to Garvin@fortunemarketing.net and we will respond.
Other websites
This site links to other websites, including our Instagram profile and our clients’ pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
